Her early career began as a music director with her father’s production Unnaipol Oruvan for which she also got the Best Music Director award at Edison Awards. Her first appearance in a feature film was as a child artist as the daughter of Vallabhbhai Patel in the Tamil-Hindi bilingual Hey Ram. The movie was directed by her father. She made her lead role in the Hindi film Luck. Then she played Subha Srinivasan in 7aum Arivu. The movie opened with average reviews but her role was prised.
