Murmu was born on June 20, 1958, in Rairangpur, Odisha. Her father name is Biranchi Narayan Tudu( Farmer). We don’t know her mother’s name. Draupadi Murmu religion is Hinduism. Draupadi Murmu family belongs to Santali tribe. Santals are the largest tribe. This tribe is mostly found in the Jharkhand and West Bengal states of India. Santals belong to Munda ethnic group. As of 2022, Draupadi Murmu age is 64 years.
Murmu changed her name several times. Draupadi Murmu birth name was Puti Tudu. She was renamed Droupadi by her school teacher. Murmu was also named Durpadi, Dorpdi in past. Draupadi Murmu Oath
Murmu takes Oath as 15th President of India on 25 July 2022. She took her oath at the Central Hall of Parliament. According to the procedure in the constitution, the oath of office was administered by Chief Justice of India NV Ramana. She is also the first tribal woman to hold the highest Constitutional post. The ceremony(oath-taking) was followed by a 21-gun salute with the presence of Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, etc.
